Statement of Faith

We believe that the canonical books of the Holy Scriptures are the inspired and inerrant Word of God, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of people.  The books of the Bible are the sole, supreme authority for all Christian faith and life.

We believe in the one God, the Creator, absolutely perfect and existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man.  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross and gave Himself as a sacrifice for our sins. He was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven where he sat down at the right hand of the Father and is now our High Priest and Advocate.

We believe that the Holy Spirit glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ, convicts people of their sin, regenerates them to new life, indwells them, and empowers them for godly living and service.

We believe that Man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and is spiritually dead. He can be born again to salvation and spiritual life only because of  the work of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection are the sole basis for salvation for all men.  Those who have repented of their sins and have received Jesus Christ as Lord by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and become children of God.

We believe that water baptism and the Lord's Supper are commandments of the Lord which are to be observed by the Church.  However, without saving faith they do not guarantee salvation.

We believe that the true Church is composed of people of all times and from all peoples who are born again by the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ and are united together in the Body of Christ.

We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and the Head of the Church, and that every local church is under His leadership.

We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ, Who will appear for the rapture of the church and for the judgement of the living and the dead.

We believe in the bodily resurrection from the dead: for believers to glory and eternal bliss; and for unbelievers condemnation and eternal torment.

We believe in the necessity of fulfilling the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ (Matt 28.19-20).
